Finding Your Perfect Spot
Choosing the right location is a huge part of telling your story, but it shouldn't be stressful. To take the guesswork out of it for you, I’ve put together this collection of my favorite places to photograph on the South Shore.
These are the spots I return to again and again because they provide beautiful lighting and stunning scenery, while offering plenty of space to avoid crowds, capture a variety of photos, and let your little ones run and play. From charming parks to sweeping coastlines, let's find the setting that feels just right for you!
- Playful & Classic New England: A beach session is perfect for you. We'll get sandy toes, chase the waves, and snuggle on a blanket.
- Cozy, Warm & Rustic: You'll love a field session in the fall. The golden, flowing grasses create a soft, intimate backdrop for snuggles and games.
- Woodsy & Adventurous: Let's head to one of our beautiful trail locations for a walk in the woods.
Beautiful Beaches
Nothing beats chasing the golden hour light on the coast, where we get that gorgeous glow on the beach grasses and can explore the beautiful, wide-open sands at low tide.
Rexhame, Marshfield
Rexhame Beach offers the best of both worlds, with the peaceful South River on one side and the wide-open ocean on the other. It's beautiful dunes and sweeping beach grasses are absolutely perfect for catching that dreamy, golden-hour light.
Sandy Beach, Cohasset
This beautiful Cohasset spot is a quintessential New England beach, complete with soft sand and classic rocky outcroppings. It’s a timeless and versatile backdrop for families who want that signature coastal feel.

Scituate Lighthouse
For an iconic, nautical backdrop, the Scituate Lighthouse is unmatched. It's the perfect solution for getting those big, dramatic ocean views and exploring the rocky jetty, all without the mess of sand.
Nantasket, Hull
Nantasket is famous for its incredibly long and wide shoreline, which creates stunning reflective sandbars at low tide. It's the perfect canvas for a session full of movement, with tons of space for kids to run, splash, and play as the sun sets.
No dogs between 4/1 and mid September.
Glowing Fields
The South Shore's open fields are a personal favorite in the fall, offering a stunning, rustic backdrop of tall, golden grasses that just glow in that warm afternoon light.
Hanover Field
This Hanover spot is a true gem, featuring beautiful, open fields, classic New England stone walls, and rustic wooden bridge. The tall, flowing grass looks absolutely magical as it catches the golden hour light, making it a perfect rustic backdrop.
Houghton's Pond, Milton
Set in the Blue Hills, this location offers incredible variety, from the pond and beach to the gorgeous, rustic wooded paths and grassy clearings. It's a fantastic spot for capturing a cozy, woodsy New England vibe in any season.
Bay Farm, Duxbury
Bay Farm is a Duxbury icon, famous for its incredible rolling hills and vast, open meadows that overlook the bay. This is my go-to spot for that epic, sweeping landscape look, especially as the sun sets over the fields.
Turkey Hill, Hingham
With its vast, rolling meadows, Turkey Hill feels like a slice of Vermont right here in Hingham. The grassy, hilltop fields are incredible for capturing that golden hour glow, with the bonus of a spectacular Boston skyline view in the distance.
